Welcome to the project AVRiL website. AVRiL is our BSc Computer Science senior year project being done under the guidance of Dr. Sohaib Khan and Dr. Umar Saif.

The aim of the project is to fully automate the video recording of lectures so there is no need to hire special camera men or a direction crew. Due to its extremely low day-to-day costs it finds many applications in the area of video archiving, lecture review, and in distance learning programmes.

AVRiL has won the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2007 Pakistan Final and will be representing Pakistan in the World Finals in Seoul, Korea in August! Also, check out our Imagine Cup Team Page.

The project also won the LUMS CS/CMPE Best Senior Project Award for the year 2007. The prize was sponsored by Mentor Graphics.
